Volunteer Opportunities with celebrate! RVA
At celebrate! RVA we have numerous volunteer opportunities and ways for children and adults to get involved to help spread joy and celebration to children in Richmond. Since we’re in the business of throwing birthday celebrations, our volunteer opportunities are fun, but most importantly, they make a lasting impression on a child in need of a bit of joy. We hope you’ll join us and wear a party hat, throw some confetti and make an impact to last a lifetime.
Available Volunteer Opportunities at celebrate! RVA
Our biggest need is for party volunteers. These are the folks that put on a party hat and a big smile and assist us with the fun stuff – throwing a celebration for a child in need. We’re looking for both children and adults who love to have fun, but are most importantly sympathetic and willing to help no matter the job. Duties include facilitating games and activities, engaging with the kids and assisting with party coordination such as set-up, cleanup and passing out cake.
Children under age 16 are allowed to volunteer at our birthday celebrations at Richmond City Public Schools when accompanied by a parent or guardian. For our celebrations at Safe Harbor, volunteers must be 18 years of age or older as background checks are required.
Administrative Team Volunteers
Part of running a successful organization is thanks to the many volunteers that help make it all possible, and sometimes, that includes behind-the-scenes jobs at our administrative offices. Duties include intern management, general office work, data entry and mailings. Some of our administrative volunteer opportunities can be flexible and done remotely or for an hour or two at a time. We require that volunteers be 16 years of age or older for administrative duties.
